Understanding the nature and reality of sihr according to Islam (Sihr
is Arabic for magic, literally means hidden), is likely to make it
easier to accept the concept of magic especially for a modern
scientific mind, allowing one to come to terms with it and, thereafter,
find a sensible cure that is devoid of superstitions and apply the
treatment prescribed for it in Islam with confidence and reassurance.

At a time when homosexuality and anal sex are forced by some sections
of the society as something that ought to be accepted as natural, many
wonder why Islam – as with other religions – so strongly
disapproves of these. The brief response below sheds some light

An interesting issue has been raised. Some Muslim scholars of Tafsir in
the past did speculate that the earth is flat and not spherical. Yet
the Quran does not postulate that. This leads to a discussion of the
role of the Quran. No doubt it is primarily a divine book of
guidance from the Creator to Jinn and Man to draw a step closer to the
pleasure of Allah through His Worship by leading a balanced life in
every walk of life. But, in the field of Science and technology, is the
Quran intended to be its text book, and if not, then, why not? An
exploration of this issue leads to a few amazing
realities of the fact that the Quran is indeed the unadulterated word
of God.

aka…Understanding
Capital Punishment in Islam
"In order to understand the Islamic view
and ruling on Capital Punishment – or any other injunction
– it is useful to note a few characteristics of the Islamic
Code
of Life - the Islamic Law or Shariah. This would then explain why there
are no
elaborate arguments and discussions in the Quran that set forth a
rationale for each and every injunction of the Islamic civil code..."
