Assalamualikum,

I would like to know whether it is permissible for a wife to offer salah (fard and taraweeh) with her husband in congregation at home.
If yes, where should the wife stand (behind or next to him)?

Can a man lead the prayer at home for his sisters and mother?

Jazahkallah.

Assalamu alaikum

Ibn Qudamah rahimahullah mentioned in al-Mughni, that one man only can lead one woman or more in a prayer Jama'ah (congregation).

So, you'd have the Imam at home in front, then behind him will stand the row of women.  If there were children, they'd form a row after the Imam, then the row of women.

If the house was small, there wasnt space for the women to stand completely behind the Imam, then only, they may stand behind and a little to the side - however they should be behind and not next to the Imam.

This is the same for the Fard or Taraweeh salaat between men and women.

It is good to try to pray as much taraweeh as possible in masjid under normal circumstances, especially as it encourages that person and others to pray in Ramadan.

Wassalamualaikum
