Alhamdulillah and may the blessings and peace on the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, and all those who follow him in the good of Islam.

Giving religious verdicts (Fatwa), i.e. opinion on fiqh issue, requires one to possess at least the minimum knowledge of fiqh, usul fiqh, Quran & Hadith, Arabic, etc.  Great big Scholars have a lot of this knowledge and their Fatwa is at a higher level whereas the lesser Scholars at least have enough to give Fatwa at a lesser level.

On this forum, we aim to provide with Fatwa on Fiqh matters and general answers on religious matters.  On this forum, we like the Fatwa on Fiqh matters to only be given by Scholars of Fiqh who are qualified to give Fatwa/verdict.

We are pleased to have the time from the following Scholars of Fiqh to give Fatwa on Fiqh matters on this forum.  Although these Scholars are not our leading or top scholars, nevertheless they are qualified to give Fatwa and strive whenever needed to discuss the issue with one of the greater and top Scholars of Fiqh - as much as possible - before giving a Fatwa.

Scholars who will answer on this forum are:-

1. Shaykh Sultan ibn Ali - graduated from the Shariah faculty at the Jami'atul-Imam in Riyad.  He also studied with other Sheikhs before and since.  Presently he is visiting Australia and teaches Islamic topics/subjects.

2. Shaykh Abu AbduSittir - studied Arabic and afterwards graduated from the Shariah faculty at the Islamic University of Madina.  This Shariah faculty at the Islamic University of Madinah provides by time of successful and true graduation, a specialising in Fiqh & fatwa related sciences along with a sound and firm grounding in other fields such as Aqidah, Tafsir and Hadith.  During his stay of seven years in Madinah, he also studied some of the classical and contemporary works of Islamic Law with other leading scholars of Madinah.  He is a principal of one of the Islamic schools and works full time teaching Islamic sciences to children and adults alike.

3. Shaykh AbuIsmaeel Aslam Hussain - studied Arabic and afterwards graduated from the Shariah faculty at the Islamic University of Madinah. During his stay of six years in Madinah, he also studied some of the classical books of Islamic Law with some of the leading scholars of Madinah, Unaizah and elsewhere.  Also, during his brief/short time as student of the Great Leading Scholar Mufti and Imam of our time, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Utheimeen, Shaykh Aslam studied with him some of the classical books of Islam in various fields of Islamic Law.

Besides these qualified Scholars in Islamic Fiqh, we do ask others on this forum to NOT post any opinions on Fiqh matters for verily that is not allowed except for someone qualified and trained in this to at least the minimum level of giving Fatwa - even if not to the highest level of Fatwa.

Please note that due to their busy schedule, these Shaykh's answers may take time to be posted.

Also note that this forum is only to give a brief answer especially to issues related to life in Western countries such as Australia, whereas for detailed answers with fully referenced sources listed, see other great websites such as www.islamqa.com - they have a large team of scholars dedicated to reserach for the general public enquiries.

We hope you find the forum useful and our success is only from Allah.
